I have another wonderful set of products from Urban Decay to show you today! I got 7 of the 8 shades in their Super Saturated Lip Pencil line on Black Friday and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I have fallen in love with all forms of lip pencils lately and these are no exception, so if you're interested, keep reading to find out my thoughts on the formula and check out my swatches below!
Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Pencils arrive in lovely little packaging that reflects the actual shade of the lip pencil within.
For Black Friday, Urban Decay had an amazing deal where these 7 shades retailed for only $49. So instead of paying $19 for each individual shade, I got 7 for $49 (a $133 value). An amazing steal, if you ask me! Unfortunately, this deal is no longer available as it was a Black Friday only deal. I will say that these lip pencils have won me over entirely and I think they are definitely worth their $19 price tag!
In the set I received, you get 7 of the 8 shades in the Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Pencil line. I now own all 8 shades because I just HAD to pick up the one I didn't own in my collection, called F*Bomb. I'll be reviewing that shade separately, so look for that post soon! The shades I initially received in this set are as follows: Punch Drunk, Apocalypse, Big Bang, Adrenaline, Crush, Lovechild, and Naked.
After wearing these for the past few weeks, specifically Naked, Lovechild and Big Bang, I've definitely come to love them more and more. These are neither hydrating nor drying, but because my lips have been EXTRA dry this Winter, I generally apply a lip balm prior to applying these lip pencils.
These are extremely pigmented and pack quite a punch of color with one pass of the pencil, so if you're a fan of bold color, then these are for you! I loved them for the holidays, especially Big Bang and Adrenaline as they have quite a bit of sparkle to them. You don't feel the shimmery particles on your lips though, so that's a definite plus in my eyes. I truly hate the feeling of glitter on my lips for some reason!
These last for hours on me and once most of the color has worn away, a pretty light stain is left behind on my lips. I reach for these when I want great staying power with a lot of pigmentation. These really exceeded my expectations and I just love them.
One major downside to these happens to be an issue with several pencil products, actually. These don't twist up but instead have to be sharpened. I highly recommend using Urban Decay's Grindhouse pencil sharpener for these especially, because it tends to eat less of the product when sharpening. I have heard that freezing or refrigerating these before sharpening them helps quite a bit to prevent product waste as well.
I love the color range of these lip pencils. There's a nude shade, a baby pink, a vibrant orange shade that is surprisingly wearable, a deep plum and three different pinks to choose from! There's also a gorgeous, perfect red shade that isn't pictured in this post but is coming soon, so check back soon for that.
Overall, I find these to be a wonderful addition to my collection of lip products and I will continue to wear them for every occasion that I can successfully pull them off haha. You can find these for $19 each at Sephora, ULTA, and anywhere Urban Decay products are sold.

XOXO, Taylar
Hey! I was wondering if you could help me answer two questions that I've been trying to figure out!
ReplyDelete1) How do you get the "continue reading" link?!
2) How do you get the icons on the top right of your blog of "pinterest" "youtube" "twitter" etc?!
I've been trying to figure these out but can't seem to! Thank you so much for your help!!
To get the "continue reading" link you just insert a page break wherever you want the preview to stop! The page break icon looks like a ripped piece of paper.
DeleteThe icons are a bit trickier lol. You have to first google blog icons or blogger icons (there are several sites that have tons of free icon styles to choose from). Download a set that you like. Then head over to Photobucket and create an account if you don't have one already. At this point, I will link you to Beautiful Dawn Designs blog post that tells you exactly what to do from there. It's just too much for me to explain in one comment haha!

I hope that helps! It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it! Happy blogging!
Thank you so much Taylar! You are so helpful!! :D
